FitFlop Boots
The introduction of FitFlop boots to the arsenal of the FitFlop brand was a natural evolution of the highly fashionable FitFlop footwear revolution, which have become so popular in recent times. Since its launch, FitFlop sandals have become known as the footwear that doubles as your own personal exercise gym.
And normally you would only expect a boot to look fashionable or to keep you dry and warm. But as I have found, the FitFlop boots range not only provide you with warmth and comfort but continues to offer the same exercise and fitness benefits in addition to toning the legs as the other more established FitFlop brands.
So how can FitFlop boots benefit you?
Well, here comes the science. The boot incorporates the same patent-pending Microwobbleboard technology which was developed for their sandals in collaboration with scientists. The technology is installed in the soles of each boot, which contains three densities of EVA below the surface.
The insole incorporate a thick heel section which is firm and is made of a high density shock absorbing material which has been proved to absorb up to 22% more shock and relieves joint stress. The toe area is made up of mid-density material which increases stability and maintains pace and speed of movement. In contrast, the mid-sole is made of a softer low density material, but it is
this middle section where all the magic happens. The low density material creates instability and increases lower leg muscle activity by up to 11%.
The softer density material creates a slightly unstable surface on which to walk, which is little like trying to balance on a wobble board. The de-stabilization of the foot tricks the brain into thinking that the shoe is trying to throw you off balance. To address this imbalance, the body then contract and relax various muscles in the foot, legs, thighs and buttocks in an effort to gain equilibrium. Now don’t get me wrong, the lower extremities muscles would normally be working as you walk, but it is this additional work involved in the stabilization of the body which burns more calories and improve posture and muscle
tone.
The above is just some of the benefits of wearing FitFlop footwear. Can you imagine taking that technology and applying them to boots? Well that’s exactly what the FitFlop designers have done. They have been busy creating a whole range of FitFlop boots that are just simply stunning as well as practical. By
incorporating the same toning technology into a range of plush boots,
FitFlop can now apply the benefits of their technology to a multitude of weather scenarios and seasonal footwear. Few toning brands offer anything other than a sandal or sneakers and this limits the opportunities for wearing toning footwear to only the summer months and certainly never in the coldest of weather. FitFlop boots now bridge that gap.
Her are just some of the range that are available to you:
